Let’s get you Started in homeschool!

#1 How to Register

When you register with us for the first time you will go to the Registration page to fill out a membership application. You will need basic information and information from your present school if you are transferring. If you are not transferring you will need to upload your birth certificate & vaccine records (or Exemption form) to your account after you register, if you are transferring from another school those records will be sent from your present school. Once you pay your enrollment fee you will officially be a homeschooler.

When you are re-enrolling with us, just log in to your account, update your students grade level, and pay your yearly fee.

Enrollment is for a school year and ends June 1 each year. You may enroll at any time but it is recommended to enroll before Aug 1 each year to be compliant with Tennessee and other state laws.

We are registered with the school boards in Tennessee as a CRS Cat IV, South Carolina as an Option 3 school, and Florida as a private school. We can serve you in other states and countries as well and can help you understand the laws in US states. It is ultimately your responsibility as the parent to make sure you are compliant and legally homeschooling where ever you are.

#2 Make Your Plan

Pick the curriculum that you plan to use this year if you haven’t already. We have plenty of help for you on this website and feel free to call us if you have any questions.

Decide how you will schedule, your routine will help you keep track of attendance. Set your children up with notebooks, supplies, or whatever you need to implement your plan. For high schoolers print our credit checklist and any other forms to help you plan. Make sure to take the credits needed and future goals into consideration.

Login to your personal AliYah Academy account, and add each course that you plan to use for each child with the curriculum or resource that you are going to use in the description. You will need to enter grades twice a year, mid-year by Jan 1st and end of the year before June 1st.

Attendance will be recorded with us at the end of the school year, 180 days is required, that is 90 days per semester.

We will send an email reminder when grades are due.

#3 implement

You are ready! Pick a day to get started or ease into it. If you are waiting for the curriculum to be delivered, take that time to get creative. Have your child do some reading, journaling, set up notebooks or their own planner (decorating covers can be fun), or pursue some hobbies that your child is interested in.  Enjoy nature and your family.

Happy Homeschooling!
