College Search
What is important to you?
There are a few major factors to consider when making a decision about which college to attend and it will just depend on your priorities and situation which are most important to you. There are more than we cover here but these are the most common.
Location: This is obviously a major factor whether you want to live at home and commute or if you really want to live on campus you will want to live in an area that you enjoy and has what you need.
Major area of study: This may not be as important in the first 2 years of college when core subjects are covered but it you should at least have an idea of what direction you want to go since it does impact the classes you should take and can avoid wasted time. You will just want to make sure the college you pick has the major you want. Some degrees are specialized and may narrow down your search quickly.
Homeschool friendly: Most colleges have seen the quality of homeschooled child by now and value them as students. You will also have a transcript and diploma from AliYah Academy which will make enrollment much easier into a college. But there are some colleges that actually seek out homeschoolers and may even offer grants specifically for homeschool students to encourage them to attend their college. We will make note of that in the list of colleges below.
